Zodio: Discover & Review What You Love & Don’t Love

Zodio App

The best and most effective way to promote a business is through word of mouth. It’s uncontrolled and unfiltered. The problem is: How can I, as a consumer, share my experience to everyone at the time when they needed it? Enter Zodio.

Zodio is a social location-based search and reviews platform that is focused on Southeast Asia. It was officially launched in Thailand in March 2012 and this month, the company is expanding to the Philippines. What differs Zodio from other location-based platforms is that it focuses on unbiased establishment reviews and overall ratings.  Unbiased, because the reviews are made by the customers themselves. You know, kinda like Masterchef judging (except that you can review not just restos, but every business thereis). Think foursquare + Click the City, only better! Available in iOS and Android smartphones, the mobile app has a very cool UI too!

Zodio Community Manager Mark Bantigue invited me along with several bloggers to a blogger mixer at Toki-Q in San Juan, Manila to do a soft launch for the cool app. This is Zodio’s first public event in the country and coincidentally, also my first time to attend a blogger event.

Anyway, I dragged my blogger friend Kim Yap to the event and we had so much fun meeting several bloggers. We were amazed at how friendly everyone is — we talked about the features of Zodio while enjoying good food (watch out for my food review in my next post). I have actually been using the app for a while now so I was able to share to my co-bloggers how different it is with the popular Foursquare.

Zodio is all about real people giving their honest opinion about the local businesses in their area. Businesses can also take part by rewarding their frequent visitors through discounts and freebies. With all the paid advertisements that we see in print, TV and social media nowadays, nothing is better than an easy access to unbiased reviews from the customers themselves.  It is definitely a perfect companion for people who love to travel, shop and dine to the best of the best!

Download the new Zodio app for free at www.zodio.com/app so you can see it for yourself. Don’t forget to add me so you can check my reviews. There’s no other app in town that lets you enjoy being a critic everytime you go to various places! With Zodio, you truly get to live like an insider. 🙂

    Hi Ma'am!

I'm Alvene Ngo from Contemporain Foods, Inc. I'd like to ask if you have any contact details of the team from Zodio Philippines? We're looking at a partnership with them.

    Thanks and best regards,
